Who We Are

Founded in 1975, AMERICAN SYSTEMS is one of the largest employee-owned companies in the United States. Based in the Washington, D.C., suburb of Chantilly, Virginia, AMERICAN SYSTEMS is a government services contractor focused on delivering Strategic Solutions to complex national priority programs.

Culture

As a team, we have a common goal and synergy among our people that starts with our customers. We are dedicated to their missions as well as our own. We are motivated to exceed their requirements in every task. We are committed to maintaining the highest levels of service possible.

We largely attribute our growth to this unwavering, can-do attitude. Since becoming a majority-owned ESOP in 1997*, we have grown annually, thanks to the hard work and enthusiasm of our employee-owners, our strong set of core values and beliefs and our solid vision and mission.

*100% Employee-Owned since 2015

Community

AMERICAN SYSTEMS prides itself on living our core values every day and takes its commitment to these values seriously, particularly our Community Service value. As a Caring Company, AMERICAN SYSTEMS continues to formally support charities focused on Education, Health Issues, and Military Veterans.

One of the major charities our employee-owners support is the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS). They are able to participate through their Light the Night (LTN) Walks throughout the country. This is in addition to corporate donations to both the LTN Walk and their Gala Fundraiser. Annually, AMERICAN SYSTEMS contributes more than $40,000 to LLS. AMERICAN SYSTEMS continues to be committed to the men and women who serve and protect to ensure our freedoms. Since 2006, AMERICAN SYSTEMS conducts an annual year-end giving campaign in which we match our employee-owners’ donations to organizations that provide needed benefits to our wounded warriors and their families.

Better Together.

"I share my insights in an open and collaborative environment to better AMERICAN SYSTEMS."
